Sustainability and Seasonal
In 2018, Searcys launched its first corporate responsibility pledges including committing to buying the best ingredients available, working closely with British farmers to ensure up to 90% of all seasonal fruit and vegetables are grown in the UK.
Searcys only use UK-reared fresh meat, flour milled in England, free-range eggs and milk from Red Tractor-certified farms. Ingredients that stand out above the rest are our signature smoked salmon from Royal Warrant-holding John Ross Jr. All tea and coffee are Fairtrade or Direct Impact sourced, with coffee beans coming from family-run farms in South America. 2019 pledges include partnerships with ethically sourced water brand, Belu, and Freedom Brewery.
Over the last 12 months, we have also redeveloped our conferencing and events menus to reflect our approach to healthy eating with the aim to keep delegates alert throughout the day. We want to create longterm change as to how people view a balanced and healthy diet, including a lower proportion of meat and fish and a higher proportion of plant-based dishes.
