Sports Matches at The HAC

London Sports Venues

The HAC is proud to house the only cricket pitch in the City. Situated within our five-acre Artillery Garden, the lovingly-tended space is also used for rugby and football matches. Our Head Groundsman, Bob Mills, and his team take great pride in maintaining a pitch which hosts teams of international standing including the All Blacks and Saracens rugby clubs.

Facilities and Details

Changing rooms and showers for players come with the pitch hire as do the scoreboard and stumps for a cricket match. A day of cricket (from 11.00am-dusk) costs £5,000 +VAT and a two-hour booking for a football or rugby match costs £900+VAT. There are several other indoor and outdoor spaces that can be hired for post-match food, drinks and celebrations.

Catering

All catering requirements for sports events at the HAC are provided by our fantastic in-house caterer, Searcys. Its on-site chefs have menus for a full range of food and drink options including pop-up bars and barbecues, post-match canapés and drinks receptions and sit-down gala dinners.

Spectators

As well as being a great venue for the players, the HAC is also a fabulous place for guests. The beautiful backdrop of Armoury House creates the ambience of a countryside setting with all the convenience of a City postcode. Cricket matches can host up to 250 spectators and rugby and football matches up to 3,000 standing or 1,500 in tiered stands.
