Every summer the events team here at The HAC creates a corporate summer party package with a fabulous theme, and this year is no exception. The French Quarter Festival at The HAC 2023 is a celebration honouring the original Louisiana music event which is held in early April every year in the American city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
2023 Summer Party Package Theme
The free music festival, which launched in 1984, is held in the historic French Quarter of the city and features hundreds of bands and artists from a variety of genres including jazz, blues and Zydeco. Almost as important as the music featured at the event, is the food which is served. Sourced from dozens of local restaurants, the catering on offer (think gumbo, jambalaya and crawfish) is a true representation of the cuisine of the Deep South.
The festival now hosts around 800,000 visitors over the four days during which it runs, with artists performing across 20 different stages throughout the district. It’s a truly life affirming, joyful occasion and we’re so excited to bring a flavour of it to the heart of the City of London this summer.
Louisiana-style Summer Party Decor and Catering
To get your guests into the spirit of the festival, your summer party will begin on our outdoor space, the Summer Terrace, which will be dressed in festoon lights, trailing foliage and river steamers. Between 6pm and 9pm, our staff will serve unlimited drinks comprising Hurricane Fizz cocktails (or Pimms), mocktails, wine and beer while our fabulous chefs cook up smoky delights in the BBQ fire cage.
To give your creole-inspired burgers, hotdogs and other flame-grilled dishes that smoky flavour of the Deep South, our chefs will be cooking over Namibian Braai wood finished with bourbon cask smoked wood chippings. Our summer package gives organises the chance to choose two delicious salads to accompany your main dishes with options including a rainbow cabbage and kale slaw and a marinated Cajun sweet potato salad with burnt lime and coriander. You’ll also get two dessert choices with options ranging from an indulgent Oreo cheesecake to a light and zingy mango, lime and coconut meringue mess.
Summer Party Packages and Upgrades
If you decide to splash out and upgrade your food and beverage package for your corporate summer party, the cocktail menu expands to include three other drinks, one of them a refreshing New Orleans Spiced Pimms Fizz which is made from gin, Pimms, ginger, pineapple and topped with soda. The Premium BBQ menu allows organisers to choose four salad and three dessert choices and the mains include a slow cooked, bourbon and maple cured sirloin of beef with Chimichurri dressing and flame-grilled, Cajun-spiced seabass with lemon, lime and oregano.
All of our summer party packages include hire of our Prince Consort Rooms, which is where your guests will be ushered at 9pm as the sun begins to go down. Theming continues into our large event space where your party can be taken up tempo as your invitees dance the night away in our pop-up jazz club.
Other upgrades that you might like to consider include a live, jazz band, a DJ and New Orleans Snowballs. If you’re looking to add an element of competition and team building into your event, we can even incorporate a bespoke version of ‘Louisiana Games’ into your event. All of our summer party package options include a fully manned cloakroom, security and an event manager.
London Summer Parties at The HAC
The HAC is an historic London corporate event venue with inside and outside space for hire and lush, green lawns which add a touch of escapism to any London party. The venue is just a short walk from Moorgate Underground Station and it has capacity to host up to 200 guests on the Summer Terrace or 690 across this space and the adjoining Prince Consort Rooms.
