In a year which celebrates the 200th anniversary of Queen Victoria’s birth, the Honourable Artillery Company has introduced a Victorian Christmas party package. Titled “The Greatest Christmas”, the package is a nod to an era that became known for its hospitality, generosity and decadent Christmas trees.
With prices starting at £85+VAT per person, guests will arrive at the venue’s impressive rooms and take in the authentic Victorian decor, including stunning Christmas trees decked with candles, sweets, fruit, handmade decorations and small gifts.
The party will then move to one of the Honourable Artillery Company’s striking event spaces where all the charm of the Victorian era will shine. Organisers can choose from the traditional Long Room (for up to 150 seated with dancing or 250 guests for a standing reception) or the Prince Consort Rooms (a stylish and contemporary space for up to 350 guests for a seated dinner with dancing, or up to 700 guests for a more informal standing reception).
Packages include unlimited wine, beer and soft drinks as well as a traditional festive supper. Menus, designed by the venue’s catering partner Searcys, will include delicious dishes such as pumpkin & sweet potato velouté and a “tornado of turkey” with cranberry, pork, roasted castle potatoes, parsnip puree, heritage carrots and rosemary jus.
Searcys has also created a bespoke Christmas cocktail for partygoers to enjoy. The “Christmas Spice” celebrates the flavours of the festive season with whisky, nuts and warming spices mixed together with winter fruits.
