New Portrait of HRH Prince Michael of Kent

HRH Prince Michael of Kent visited Armoury House on Wednesday 13th June to unveil a new portrait by acclaimed artist and portrait painter Arabella Dorman.

The portrait, which was originally commissioned in spring 2017, will soon go on permanent display in the Long Room at Armoury House. It will join a number of other Royal portraits already on display by a range of distinguished portrait artists including Maurice Codner and Chen Yan Ning.

The Prince was accompanied to the unveiling by his wife, Princess Michael and their two children, Lord Frederick Windsor and Lady Gabriella Windsor.

Also in attendance was HAC President and Colonel Commandant, General Sir Richard Barrons KCB CBE and a select group of invited guests.

Arabella Dorman was Britain’s first official war artist to go to the front line in Iraq in 2006 and also spent time with British forces in Afghanistan from 2009 – 2014. Dorman has exhibited works at venues including the Imperial War Museum, the Frost and Reed Gallery, and La Galleria Pall Mall.
