The Long Room

Suffused in history and full of charm, the Long Room is one of the most coveted spaces in Armoury House. The beautiful wood-panelled walls and ornate red, gold and white detailing throughout help create a truly impressive space, worthy of the most special of occasions. The Long Room’s large windows not only flood the room with natural light, they also offer inspiring views over the stunning five-acre Artillery Garden.

Brimming with historical memorabilia including life-sized portraits and mounted pikes, the Long Room is a space that creates a breath-taking first impression. One of its most alluring features is the minstrels’ gallery – a perfect spot to place a string quartet to serenade your guests’ arrival without encroaching on your floor space.

…sit-down dinners, drinks receptions, Christmas parties and weddings, the Long Room is a versatile event space that works well when set up in a banquet-style, with round tables or with a top table and sprigs.
